Writer’s Guidelines

We’re all about Change. About Action. About Regeneration. We want material that will motivate, inspire, and give practical advice and encouragement to America’s rising generation.

We publish monthly, using about 7-10 articles in each issue. We are primarily freelance-based, although regulars are welcomed and considered a part of the ROC family.

Our content varies widely. We look for anything challenging, inspirational, and Godly-minded. Personal testimonies, Scriptural expositions (with a practical twist!), “how-to” articles that encourage biblical action, book reviews, almost anything goes. We simply ask that you follow our query process and submission guidelines as outlined below so that your writing can be considered for its full potential.

To Write for Us:

- Query us at editor [at] regeneratedmag [dot] com. Include: Your name, brief bio (age, writing experiences, etc.), a writing sample/clip, and idea/basic outline for the article(s) you have in mind.

- Once your query is received, you will receive a response via the Editor. If we approve the topic for publication, the Editor will respond with the necessary information for you to start working on your article, including deadlines, Issue # your work will appear in, etc.

- Once you have written a complete draft, return it to the Editor as an attachment, with the title (if any) in the subject line.

- Generally speaking, you will not receive a response from the Editor at this point. Instead, your next response will be from your assigned content editor, who will begin the editing process with you. (Expect to wait about 2 weeks before being contacted by a content editor. If you have not heard from one within 14 days, you may then send a note to the Editor checking on the status of your article.)

- If this is your first article to be published with us, please also send a short 20-30 word bio (one or two sentences total) in the main body of the email and an attached photo (opt.) as well.

Note: Regenerated Magazine claims first publishing rights. You retain all ownership and rights, and may republish your work elsewhere. Your work must be featured in rMag for 2 months before you can republish. Also, if you republish elsewhere, you must make a note that it was first published in Regenerated Magazine with Vol./Issue #, and a link to the site.

Submission Requirements:

The word count varies depending on what sort of article you are submitting. (Editors will work with you to make sure that your article adheres to these guidelines.)

- Most articles are placed at 1200-1400 words, not including sidebars and photo captioning, if any.

- Biographies, interviews, and research/scientific articles range from 1500-2000 words, not including sidebars and photo captioning, if any.

- Book reviews and group promotion pieces are scaled at 500-750 words, not including sidebars and photo captioning, if any.

- Sidebars should be no more than 200 words, and include more statistical information and diagrams rather than text. Photo captions, unless otherwise decided, will be added by the titling department, and should be no more than 40 words per photo.

- Articles should be formatted as an .rtf or .doc file using MS Word. Use 12 pt., Times New Roman or Arial font; margins should be 1” on all sides; double-spaced, 1 hard return between paragraphs; no indents. Send articles as attachments to: editor [at] regeneratedmag [dot] com.
