Unsaturated fats

This does not get condensed at the fridge temperature. As a matter of fact, unsaturated fat is better than saturated fat. Again there are two varieties in unsaturated fats; poly unsaturated fats and mono unsaturated fats. Sunflower oil, Soya bean oil, etc., contain poly unsaturated fat. Groundnut oil, gingili oil, olive oil, etc., contain mono unsaturated fat. It is better to use unsaturated fats in our daily life than saturated fats. Even if there is too much cholesterol in our blood, the use of unsaturated fat will, in course of time, decrease the cholesterol.

Dietary cholesterol

The cholesterol in the blood of animals reaches its organs and gets deposited in the form of fat in their body cells. When we eat their flesh, we will be consuming their cholesterol also. This settles down in our body changing into fat. This is known as dietary cholesterol. In the flesh of animals we eat, in milk, cheese and eggs, this kind of cholesterol is found. Fat Fats not only supply us with energy but also help us digest vitamins. They are of two kinds; saturated fats and unsaturated fats. Saturated fats: saturated fats increase the cholesterol in our body. Saturated fat is found in animal flesh, chicken, eggs, milk, cheese, coconut oil, palm oil. Usually it condenses at the refrigerator temperature.

Blood cholesterol

That cholesterol which flows through blood is called blood cholesterol. Produced in the liver, this flows with blood and reaches to all parts of the body. Also produced from the food we eat, it reaches the intestines and flows into the blood. If its concentration in blood is more than what it should be it gets deposited in the inner walls of the veins along with other fats. After many years, its deposits increase, the passage will become narrow. It obstructs the flow of blood and that in turn leads to chest pain and giddiness. When the flow of blood into the brain is affected, it leads finally to paralysis.

Cholesterol is the Main Factor

Produced in liver, this substance mixes with blood and travels to all parts of the body and helps in the production of different hormones, bile and Vitamin D. too much of its production makes it to get deposited on the blood veins, obstructing the free flow of blood and leading to Atherosclerosis, which may lead too chest pain and sudden death. Cholesterol is also referred to as blood cholesterol, dietary cholesterol, fat and again in fat as saturated fat, unsaturated fat, lipo proteins, high density lipo proteins and low density lipo proteins.

CHLOESTEROL

These days we often hear people talking about B.P., heart diseases, overweight, cholesterol, etc., especially about cholesterol, both who know about it and do not know about it – As if it is a devil and the greatest enemy of mankind; That it is here in this food and that it is not there; That you should not eat this or that. But, what is cholesterol? How much harm does it do to man? How much of it is too much? Or is it too les? How much actually do we need? We must know the answers for all these questions. Cholesterol is a soft substance like wax.

Nourishing food

To prevent the attack of diseases, in other words, to make you Immune System strong, the most important instrument is to take good nourishing food. If we do not take good nourishing food, we will have to surrender ourselves to various heart diseases, paralysis, breast cancer, intestine cancer, dental decay, diabetes, indigestion, etc. Is it a fact that good food strengthens the Immune System? Unhesitatingly it can be stated that lack of good food results in weakening the Immune System. Proper in-take of Proteins is essential. Combining it with vitamins and minerals may or may not ensure the strengthening of the Immune System, according to Dr. Graham Bird, Consultant Immunologist, Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford. That it is essential to take Antioxidants- Vitamins like C,E, Beta Carotene to protect oneself from heart diseases and cancer, is a fact accepted. A strong Immune System needs some minerals too.

Why do some people put on weight though they don’t eat much?

It is not true that they eat less; but, only believe that they eat less. In their opinion, more means more than they eat. Without control, they go on dumping their bellies, not one time, but again and again, of course, a little at a time. Will your fat decrease if you drink more water? Those who are dieting will be advised to drink more water. Because of this fact, such a myth is in circulation. The food they consume does not contain enough carbohydrates and therefore they are advised to drink more water to prevent the damage to their kidneys. Water can never flush out the fat from your body.
