How much Fat can you consume?

As a matter of fact, we don’t land in trouble if we eat fat containing food. Only if we eat too much of such food, we will be unnecessarily inviting problems. Such problems are: If there is too much fat in the foods we eat, this fat accumulates in our body because of two reasons: One gram of fat contains twice the number of calories found in 1 gram of proteins or 1 gram of carbohydrates. Fats can more easily accumulate in the body than proteins or carbohydrates can. Another factor is, the body gets its needed energy first from the complex carbohydrates derived from fruits and pulses. Fats are given only a secondary place as a source of energy. Hence, there is not much of a reason for the body fats to get expended and produce energy, and it therefore gets accumulated fast in the body.

How does the fat in the food change into body fat?

The fat in the food we eat, disintegrate into fatty acids and Glycerol after reaching the digestive system. Fatty acids are then further divided and released as energy for immediate needs. The energy unused in such needs will be again converted into fatty acids and kept in reserve in the cells under the skin and around the inner organs. The Glycerol is converted into Glycogen and released as immediate energy or stored in the Liver in a particular place intended for its storage. In case there is already enough Glycogen in the Liver, this additional consignment of Glycogen will be reconverted into fat and stored in the body cells. When such a fat is accumulated, you put on fat. So you are fat!

FAT

The fat in our body is also referred to as Lipids. The chain combination of carbon dioxide, hydrogen and a small amount of oxygen is this Lipid. To put it technically, Fats contain Glycerol mixed fatty acids. Two types There are two types of fats – Saturated Fats and Unsaturated Fats. This difference is due to fatty acids in them. The more the hydrogen atoms in the fatty acids, the more it comes under the saturated fats category. Again there are two types of unsaturated fats – Mono – unsaturated fats and Poly-unsaturated fats. If there is one atom of hydrogen less in saturated fats, it is mono-unsaturated fats. If 2 or more hydrogen atoms are less, it is poly-unsaturated fats. In ordinary temperature, saturated fats become solid while the unsaturated fats remain in liquid form.

B.P.HEART DISEASES AND PARALYSIS

Some people struggle hard to keep their body in shape all through their life. They look very attractive when their bodies are in shape. Some are lucky to have their bodies in good shape, while others unfortunately have ill-shaped bodies, looking ugly with accumulated fat. There should not be too much of fat in the food we take. If we take care of this and do regular exercises, our body may remain in proper shape. But, in spite of careful food habits and regular exercise, some look fat. Others simply exclaim, “Pity their nature is so.” Is it because of heredity or does it depend on food? You have some answers for your doubts.

Nourishing food

To prevent the attack of diseases, in other words, to make you Immune System strong, the most important instrument is to take good nourishing food. If we do not take good nourishing food, we will have to surrender ourselves to various heart diseases, paralysis, breast cancer, intestine cancer, dental decay, diabetes, indigestion, etc. Is it a fact that good food strengthens the Immune System? Unhesitatingly it can be stated that lack of good food results in weakening the Immune System. Proper in-take of Proteins is essential. Combining it with vitamins and minerals may or may not ensure the strengthening of the Immune System, according to Dr. Graham Bird, Consultant Immunologist, Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford. That it is essential to take Antioxidants- Vitamins like C,E, Beta Carotene to protect oneself from heart diseases and cancer, is a fact accepted. A strong Immune System needs some minerals too.

More about Relaxation

That optimists recover from surgery faster than the pessimists, is a fact that doctors are aware of Psychotherapists have realized that the moment a patient puts a smile, he is on the sure path to recovery. But, the problem is, the moment man surrenders to negative stress, his life style changes and regularity vanishes. That is, he will stop exercise; mentally recede from friends and family members; give up all entertainments; and give into coffee, tea, cigarettes and wine. All these weaken the Immune System in him.
